I'm moving next month.
Only for the summer, but let me tell you the amount of drama it has caused in my family is absolutely insane. But it's for a job, so I'm kind of excited.
Backstory: I work for the feds. Kind of. I'm a park ranger, and I'd like to make a career out of it. For the last couple years I've been working near my hometown in a National Historical Park, but this winter/spring I got told to start applying all over because my boss wasn't sure she'd be able to bring me back for the summer, blah blah boring federal government hiring proceedures blah blah basically my job was up in the air. So I sent about 15 applications out for different jobs in the Park Service, all over the country, hoping my current workplace would get back to me first.
No such luck.
No, a park aaaaalll the way out in South Dakota called me. Within three days of me first talking with their hiring official, I said yes - because I couldn't be sure about any of the other jobs, and I didn't want to say no and screw myself out of a job.
So now I'm going out to the Black Hills of South Dakota to work at Wind Cave National Park. It's one of the oldest national parks in the country, and it's absolutely gorgeous. THERE ARE BISON! AND MOUNTAIN LIONS! AND . . . hills xD I really actually am excited lol. I get to live in a small dorm IN THE PARK, which hopefully will be pretty cool and I'll cook and bake and maybe the people who realize I'm not a cave spelunker or a hiker will still like me xDDDDD
bouncy

I'm not graceful.
If you happen to be here and I've friended you (back) that means I probably consider you part of my chosen family.
